Despite the vastly different physiologies between plant and animal life, I find it endlessly fascinating to think that both are derived from a common ancestor. The enormously complex yet elegant Theory of Evolution (which astonishingly is still controversial in much of the world including "developed" nations) evokes in me a feeling of limitless wonder. This series of botanical drawings is a continuation of my two-dimensional dissections (anatomical, transportation and architecture) which help me understand how things work. Additionally it gives me a opportunity to try and punch you in the face with line and color. This series began because of a weekly family vacation we started taking 4 years ago to the Isle of Shoals.
